Meet Marissa

When I became a mom over six years ago, I started to notice that as a society we put so much emphasis on the birth and forget about the sacred postpartum period. Making sure moms and families have adequate, timely and comforting care in this period is so important to set them up for a healthy future.

It’s because of this and my own postpartum struggles that I started on this wonderful journey to advocate and provide proper postpartum care for women. I completed postpartum doula training through Life Cycles in Buffalo, NY in 2019. I soon learned that my passion for helping moms naturally fit with my desire to find better breastfeeding support (stemming from my own struggles).

I became a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) in 2020 and in 2021 passed the exam to become a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I currently work part time with WNY Orofacial & The Breastfeeding Support Center and have a desire to collaborate with pediatrician offices to support breastfeeding families!

I am a wife and mama to three beautiful children and one sweet golden retriever. As a breastfeeding and postpartum consultant, who shares many of the same challenges that come along nurturing babies, I hope to support and provide moms and families with the right tools to feel confident in their postpartum journey!
